An open air timber pavilion for hosting meetings, performances and a variety of presentations is scheduled for construction in 2022. The Cardinal’s Nest is a 2,040 sq/ft. redwood structure (60′ L X 34′ W) and will serve as a central gathering place for guests at Dérive, built on the property’s eastern hillside a few yards below George’s Cabin and the Main House within walking distance of Silver Creek. A tall high pitch expansive ceiling and limestone stage at one end, the pavilion is a versatile building that offers shade in the summer months and a canopy for snowy winters. Wired for electricity, the structure can be used for stage performances, or even weddings, day and night.
